Becky has been a part of Primary Camp since 2009, beginning as a counselor when her kids were in camp. In 2024 she became a co-Dean (along with Shae) for Primary Camp and took on the role of Camp Director. Becky’s heart is for kids to learn about God in a fun environment.

Her experience includes teaching 2’s & 3’s Sunday school, working and teaching in all age groups of VBS, substitute Sunday school teacher for all kids age groups, helping to run day camps for homeschool kids while their parents attended parent practicums and trainings and working in the kids’ club programs in her church. Becky most recently has worked as director and teacher for the 4 & 5 yr old group of that kids’ club.
On a personal note, Becky loves spending time with her grown kids and their little ones, traveling and most recently learned to play bass guitar for her church’s praise band.

at Junior and Senior Camp as a counselor.
Shae also helps with music by playing guitar, and anywhere else there
is a need. He enjoys sports, reading, hiking, watching movies, and is
a Plumber by trade.
He strives to facilitate a fun time for campers to learn about
themselves, make friends, and grow closer to God.

Susie Burgess, Junior Camp Dean
Phone: 765-346-2532 E-Mail: susie@hhchurch.com
Susie Burgess will return as Junior Camp Dean this summer.
After serving under three fantastic Junior Camp Deans, this will be her 2nd year as Dean and her 10th year volunteering at the Junior Camp in some capacity. She will be returning for a 6th summer at the Senior Camp as a Camp Counselor.
Susie will be celebrating her 19th wedding anniversary with her husband, Robert, while she is at Senior Camp. Throughout the year you can find her at Hoosier Harvest Church, where she is both the Children’s and Youth Director at Hoosier Harvest Church.
Ten summers ago, she was asked to be a Camp Counselor for ABY Junior Camp but had never been to church camp before and was super nervous not knowing the expectations. At that time, she was working only with birth through elementary students. That week of camp God changed her life, not only did she love the time she had at camp, but realized she enjoyed working with the teens and she ended up taking on an extra role as The Youth Ministry Director at HHC not long after returning from camp.
